Accuracy of Army ACFT Calculators?

Hey everyone,

I’ve been using an online ACFT calculator to estimate my score, but I’m a bit confused about the way some events are calculated. Specifically, how does the calculator adjust for body weight on the sprint-drag-carry and leg tuck/plank? Also, do different calculators account for age and gender the same way, or are there variations?

I want to make sure I’m training with accurate targets in mind. If anyone has experience using these calculators versus actual test results, I’d love to hear your thoughts. Are there any specific calculators that you’ve found to be the most reliable?

Appreciate any insights from those who’ve already taken the ACFT!

Thanks!

The ACFT scoring system itself doesn’t adjust for body weight on events like the sprint-drag-carry (SDC) or leg tuck/plank. Your performance is purely based on time or reps completed, regardless of body weight. However, body weight can impact your ability to perform certain events, especially the leg tuck, which requires core and upper body strength.
Most ACFT calculators follow the official Army standards, but some may have slight variations in formatting or interpretation. If you’re using an Army ACFT Calculator, make sure it’s based on the latest scoring updates. The most reliable source is the official ACFT scoring table from the Army’s website or training resources.
If possible, test yourself under real conditions to see how your performance matches the calculator’s predictions.
