Ole Miss offered '22 Forward Luke Hunger. A Canadian born prospect Hunger plays for Northfield Mount Hermon in Massachusetts. NMH has been described as an ivy league factory in the past. Hunger has done major work to his body and was listed as 6-10" 255lbs in April. He isn't a freak athlete but plays with plenty of versatility. Good footwork, Absorbs contact, and shot over 40% from deep in 30+ summer scrimmages. Bunch of mid major offers now with few high majors sprinkled in, could see more in the future.
OXFORD, Miss. — Luke Hunger has IT. The Montreal native recently discussed his recruitment with The Rebel Walk following the scholarship offer from Ole Miss he received on August 18th. Grateful to receive an offer from Ole Miss! Thank you to Coach Davis and Coach Hamilton! #SEC...
Ole Miss has offered Sultan Adewale. Hailing from Great Britain, he's a 6'8" forward who has racked up offers from Memphis, Washington, Depaul, and a couple of low to mid-majors. He competed on the GBR national team for the 2019 FIBA U16 European Championship where he averaged 13 PPG and 10.6 RPG. He currently plays for St. Louis Christian Academy in Missouri.
Kimani Hamilton of Clinton MS. (#125 in '22 Class) will take an official visit to Ole Miss on October 8th. Source: Jake Lieberman. He will take an unofficial to Mississippi State on September 11th and Creighton on the 17th.
He listed a top five earlier with each of those mentioned before along with Alabama and Georgetown.
This would be his second visit to Ole Miss's campus
Guard LJ Thomas is down to six schools. Along with Ole Miss, the rest are Memphis, NC State, Houston, Georgia, and the newly formed Overtime Elite. He is the 24th best PG in the class of 2022.
In an interview with Phenom Hoop Report, Thomas had this to say: "Ole Miss: Coach Kermit really lets his guards go; he is a guards coach. He and Coach Hamilton have built a great relationship with me and they believe I can come in right away and make an impact." - Thomas
My belief is Ole Miss could be a major player alongside Houston and Georgia. He will visit Oxford on September 18th.
Ole Miss has made the final three for '22 Center Shawn Phillips Jr. The Rebels will be in the mix for the big man alongside West Virginia and NC State. It's been no secret that the Rebels have been in the mix for a big man. Below is an excerpt from my forum post on 8/11/21. He is a top 20 center for the class and a top 130 player by 247 and top 100 by rivals.
Shawn "Baby Shaq" Phillips Jr is a 6'11" Center from Ypsi Prep Academy in Michigan. He was offered by Coach Levi Watkins over the weekend as the Rebels continue to look for big man options in the '22 class. In March, Phillips Jr released a top 7 of Indiana, Florida, NC State, Ohio State, West Virginia, Cincinnati, and Dayton. Time will tell if the Rebels can make up any ground in his recruitment process.
Notes from Ole Miss Elite Camp. The Rebels offered a handful of attendees.
'25 6'6" F - Ashton Magee received an offer (2nd official offer)
'25 6'6" F - Jai'Chaunn Hayes received an offer (1st official D1 offer)
'25 6'1" G - Corbin Page received an offer
'25 6'6 C - Jamarion Davis-Fleming received an offer
'23 PG Laydon Blocker will visit Ole Miss officially the weekend of September 10th.
He is a fringe top 10 PG in his class and has multiple high major offers. Blocker has taken unofficial to Baylor and Arkansas. Have other official visits set up with Oklahoma and Auburn.
It appears as though '22 Center Malique Ewin is on an official visit to Ole Miss currently. The Lilburn GA native is the 5th best center (#51 overall) in his class according to prephoops.com. Rivals have him as a top 75 player in the class, while 247 has him as a fringe top 100 player. He stands 6-9"/6-10" and weighs around 220lbs. His game has tremendous upside and he can really move. He is still developing a full offensive game but can make plenty of plays off the drive and is a legit mismatch for most bigs. Has a really good motor and nice hands.
Other Offers: Bama, UGA, UF, Georgia Tech, Virginia Tech, Xavier, Illinois, Mississippi State, and many others.
'22 Patrick Wessler of Combine Academy has scheduled his official visit with Ole Miss. He will visit Oxford from Oct. 8-10. He will visit everyone in his top 5 (4 Officials: NC State, Va Tech, USC, OM & 1 Unofficial: Providence). Top 30 Center for his class.
Ole Miss is expecting ‘22 6-9 Forward Oak Hill Jalen Reed for a visit this coming weekend. His recruitment has exploded since the EYBL where he averaged 12.2 PPG and 7.7 RPG. Jalen’s father is former Ole Miss star Justin Reed
‘23 PG Josh Hubbard will be taking an official visit to Ole Miss from September 17-19. He is from Madison, MS and plays for Madison Ridgeland Academy.
'22 SG T.J. Caldwell will be making his visit to Ole Miss this weekend. It is one of three known visits to known to happen. The other two being Arizona State and Miss St (October). Texas recently visited in person earlier this week.
